Paddlers are required to accompany registered swimmers in the Individual & Duo Swim events at all times (no SUPs permitted, or motorised vessel required). Swimmers are to provide their own paddler. If you require assistance, please contact us. Teams require one support boat per team.
Your role as an assisting vessel is to guide your swimmer on the course, to offer water and nourishment, to observe for any signs of distress, and to act as a flotation device/mode of transport in the event that your swimmer is unable to continue.
KISA will provide additional motorised vessels to monitor and check on all participants throughout the event.
Support boats & crews are required to assist teams in the Team Relay event. Your role will be to set the course for swimmers to follow and ensure their safety. Boats must be minimum 4.5m in length and suitable to complete the course. Skippers must hold a current boat license. If a designated skipper is not available, a minimum of 2 x team members must hold a current boat license.
